Extinct antelope released into the wild

This is a new blog series called “Make a Change”.

A group of extinct antelope has been released into the wild in the southern Sahara. Scimitar-horned oryx, is a species of oryx, which was extinct in the wild in the year 2000.

In august 2016 they were reintroduced into the wild on the edge of the Sahara Desert. This is a very interesting story to me because I wonder how this will play out. There is 14 of these animals that have been released, and Six are males and eight are females. They are living in a reserve and are tracked by gps.
