Diving into oceans of books (April 2019)

12 rules of life: An antidote to chaos by Jordan Peterson

This month I read the book 12 rules of life by Jordan Peterson. It was a lengthy read with a lot of content to it. I enjoy listening to Jordan Peterson speak in lectures and podcast and I have recently found him. He has a lot of simple concepts to complex things in life that can work for certain people. I am a fan of Jordan Peterson and reading his book made me have a even more better understanding of him. He is a clinical psychologist and he now talks about psychology and other subjects. Here is a quote from the book by Jordan Peterson

Pg38- old and trusted friends can still deceive. New ideas can destroy old and comfortable certainties.

“Pg63- you must keep promises you make to yourself, and reward yourself, so that you can trust and motivate yourself.

“Rule #7:Pursue what is meaningful (not what is expedient

As I read through the book i found a lot of beautiful and life helping quotes and concepts that I am trying to add to my own life. I do not agree with every concept in this book but I do agree with a majority of it. I definitely recommend reading this book to anyone who enjoys new concepts of personal development.
