While today’s world offers opportunities for creativity, connection, and self-expression, it also brings challenges like misinformation, distraction, and a sense of being misguided.
Ancient civilizations looked to the stars for guidance, and modern society looks to screens for guidance. Is this harmful to us, or is it beneficial?
I believe there is no correct answer and nothing in life is truly right or wrong.
Philosophically, concepts can be broken down and reveal how everything has no meaning, and the meaning that everything has stems from humans, which stems from religion, which stems back to humans. Are humans all-knowing? No. This is why nothing can truly be answered. I am not attempting to answer this question, but instead I want to discuss it in a thought-provoking style.
In ancient times or before modern society, humans had to look at nature for guidance. When they watched the leaves move from strong winds, they would see a god-like spirit that is stronger than themselves, which would make them reflect on themselves.
If everything in nature, such as ocean waves, icebergs, tornadoes, volcanoes, etc., is greater than you, it humbles you.
The experience of nature’s power led them to reflect on their place in the world, encouraging a sense of awe and respect for forces beyond their control.
In modern times, humans watch videos and see powerful people, companies, characters, lifestyles, etc. We see all kinds of good and evil. We see so much content everyday all year.
It is hard to reflect on the concepts we see everyday that at the end of the day, we can barely remember what information we obtained or watched.
We all know that social media, films, and technology is a powerful force and almost has a god like power, but does it make us reflect onto ourselves positive or negative feelings about our place in the world?
If nature has brought a sense of awe and respect to all of us for thousands of years, and we have evidence of it from music, poetry, writings, and books. What do social media, films, and technology bring?
I believe it brings both positives and negatives.

Negative:

- Addiction
- Manipulation and Misinformation
This is a general list of the positives and negatives of what social media, films, and technology bring to us.
My Existence Is Modern
I personally am happy to be alive in this time period of humanity. I can’t see myself living in another time period.
My very existence is modern, even my soul is modern.
I am mixed, my mother and her parents are from Argentina and my great grandparents are from Italy and Spain, my father and his parents are from Guyana and their parents are from India, and parts of Asia.
I most likely would have never been created in the old world and past civilizations.
On top of all that mixture I was born in America. I have two or more races in me.
My wife was born in America, and her parents have British and other parts of Europe in them. Our daughter is as mixed as it gets.
My soul is modern because I love writing, creating music, having challenging discussions, being with family, collecting, and creating. I have the ability to do all these things and post it online for people to view. I love creating new content and telling people online.
I feel fortunate to live in a time where I can share my creativity, ideas, and experiences with a global audience, something that wouldn’t have been possible in the past, but I also see how corrupt a lot of people’s souls are becoming.
I purposely go out to try to talk to strangers of all ages and backgrounds to get glimpses of people’s souls.
My parents have BBQ’s at their house most Saturdays and invite over a mixture of different friends they have, and I also go one-on-one with a range of different individuals, from an ex-criminal who is now a pastor to a retired Miami cop.
With all these discussions, I try to understand the human soul and where we all are in this modern society, and I believe that we are all being guided, MISGUIDED, into a direction that we all can’t figure out, but we can feel it.
Something isn’t right, and we don’t know what it is.
