My entire purpose is sitting in this car with me as I drive down this empty dark highway.
Two little ones in the back are sleeping in their car seats.
My eyes are on the road while my right hand holds my wife’s perfect hand.
One by one, street lamps pass me by; they are mesmerizing.
For some strange reason, I don’t want this moment to end.
It feels like we are all on a journey like the olden days when families would adventure out together, finding new land or a new town to live in, and riding on horses and wagons. Searching for a new beginning. Venturing into the unknown.
My wife and I talk softly as the night gets darker. It feels like it is only us that exists in this world.
My wife looks out the passenger’s window, and I think to myself, what if we keep driving? Why not keep driving?
We might find something new.
I don’t want any of us to separate. I love being with you all.
Life and moments are fleeting; these emotions I have are real, and I want to hold on to you all.
Know that I will always love you.
No matter what, we will always share this moment.
Our souls will forever be connected.
No matter where life takes you, our love will always anchor us together.
I exist for you all.
