I feel so much for people. The majority of the nights when I can’t sleep are because I am worried about someone else.
It’s not about my wife, me, or my kids.
It’s about other people that I know and what they are going through.
I begin to get anxious and wish they could be happy.
I know that their problems and emotions aren’t mine, and that it isn’t my fault.
I can’t help them.
I have the awareness that worrying about them won’t help anyone, but my heart refuses to listen.
My soul tells my heart to calm down, and my mind tells my heart to worry about my own life and my wife’s and kids’ lives.
I have struggled with empathy since I was small. As far back as I can remember, which is four years old, I would be up late at night crying and praying for people.
Over the years, I have gotten stronger, but it still hurts.
Find yourself, fall in love, and explore life.
