I have two children: a one-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl.
I love them with all my heart, and it seems that they both have a part of my soul and my wife’s soul inside them. They, of course, have their own souls with their own personality and perspective on the world, but I see my wife and me in them.
I tickle, kiss, play, laugh, discipline, talk, read, listen to music, eat, etc., with them every single day, every moment I can during the day. My wife is a stay-at-home mom and has been since the moment our daughter was born. We both agreed long before we had children that she would stay at home to raise them.
I ask them for kisses all day, every day, and they laugh and run away, but throughout the day they will randomly, when they want to, give me a little kiss on the cheek.
It makes it more special.
It always surprises me because it’s at random moments, like when we are playing with toys or when they almost fall asleep while I am putting them to bed.
I never knew how special life is, or rather, I never understood until I had my children.
